Majority of modern websites (like Gmail, Facebook etc) are programmed with HTML5 which consists of HTML, CSS and JavaScripts.  In this course, we will introduce the basics of web programming and create useful web pages with HTML5.  Eventually, we will host the web pages such that they can be seen and found from the Internet.

Pre-requisite: Basic understanding of programming is an asset.

What is Web Programming?

Who is this course for?

Students from the age of 9 and up who are interested in text-based programming. It is good if the students have some basic programming knowledge, but it is not a must.



What should I prepare for the class?

Students need to carry their own laptop (Mac or Windows) that is well-charged, as well as chargers and connection wires. Mice can be optional, depending on the students’ preference. Prepare computer login information and administrator access for students before the first lesson. ​ ** It is preferred that the student be used to the computer they will be using to achieve a better learning experience.



What do I need to know about online teaching?

  • Using 2 devices in class is recommended (Laptop/Desktop computer with Chrome installed for practice, phone/tablet for video conference)
  • Students will be asked to switch on camera and mic during the online class
  • Online classes may be recorded for internal use such as quality assurance and training purposes.
