WHAT IS SCRATCH?
Scratch is developed by the MIT Lab and used by millions of young programmers worldwide to create animations and games. It consists of visual programming interface focusing on introducing computing to young programmers.
You can refer to scratch.mit.edu for its programming interface.
WHAT CAN SCRATCH DO?
It consists of media rich commands that allows programmers to create animations and games using drag-and-drop programming interface.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR
THE CLASS?
Students need to bring their own wifi-enabled laptops (Windows or Mac), a mobile phone (for VR) and Objectblocks / Arduino basic set (can be purchased from our online shop)

Introduction of Programming Scratch - and explore!
Class 2:
Animated Stories with your imagination
- What constitutes animations and how to animate in Scratch
- How to have multiple characters to interact with each other
- How to do background changes
- Create own animated stories with different topics
Class 3 - 4: Scratch Game Design
- Use variables to track of scores and lives
- If-then-else conditions
- Synchronisation among characters
- Design enhanced maze game and shooting games
