Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality provide a new 3D perspectives for imagination and creativity to students.  In our course, we will use CoSpaces to construct a 3D interactive environment from which the students can learn programming, physics, mathematics.  Equipped with Google cardboard and mobile, the students can explore the virtual environment they create.

** CoSpaces is a web-based platform for VR/AR content creation.  With CoSpaces, children can drag-and-drop different scenes and characters to create their 3D environments, and then program how the characters interact with each others.  

 

From the course, the children will learn basic virtual 3D environment construction, 3D object design and physics behind object interactions.

What is CoSpaces?

CoSpaces is a web-based platform with intuitive educational technology enabling students to easily build their own 3D creations, animate them with codes and explore them in Virtual or Augmented Reality.

What can CoSpaces do?

Who is this course for?

Children aged 7 or above and interested in content development and object design. Basic understanding of Blocky language such as Scratch is recommended but not a must.



What should I prepare for the class?

Students need to carry their own laptop computers and VR/AR-supported mobiles to the class. Please prepare computer login information and administrator access for students before the first lesson. VR/AR-supported mobile list can be found at: https://apple.co/2Pgb2jP (for IOS) and https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices (for Android) Students also need a Google Cardboard that is available for purchase from our online shop.



What do I need to know about online teaching?

  • Using 2 devices in class is recommended (Laptop/Desktop computer with Chrome installed for practice, phone/tablet for video conference)
  • Students will be asked to switch on camera and mic during the online class
  • Online classes may be recorded for internal use such as quality assurance and training purposes
